UK & International Ecommerce & Digital News Roundup - 1 November 2021

Tech Newsletter design for website (370 x 300 px)

This week we thought we'd share a fun (or rather slightly geeky) fact.

One of Apple's new computer chips has 57bn transistors, which is 2x all the CPUs in all the Macs shipped in 1984, while Pixar’s render farm for Toy Story only had 1bn in total.

Seriously impressive!

However, it leads us to wonder what will drive the 'metaverse' that Mr Zuckerberg has his beady eye on... maybe he's intending on harnessing the power of the sun!?

Indeed we're not sure if he's starting to sound more like the next super villain or Captain Kirk after his declaration that it will take us to "the next frontier" but the brouhaha is bound to continue for some time.

Anyway, if you're after your latest fix of all things e-commerce & digital, here's this week's newsletter to enjoy.
