This week's news has alot of references to the blending of on and off-line activity as the world of multi-channel continues to develop and collaborations prove fruitful.
The metaverse may be at the "hype" point of the technology adoption curve, but AR is clearly gaining traction in obvious use cases like interior design. It is also another example of the increasing theme we are seeing in the jobs market for the blend between product and marketing - customer-led decision making.
The biggest shock news this week is the sudden halt of the seemingly inexorable rise of FaceBook..sorry, I mean Meta's rise in MAUs. Clearly Meta is still a mammoth operation but TikTok has now even ousted Google as the world's most popular internet domain.
More evidence, if it were needed, of the dynamism and constantly shifting sands of the digital world we live in. TikTok is currently eating the world's attention. Are we now going to have to become addicted to Twitch to understand the next generation's behaviour?
On another note, here's this week's ecommerce & digital newsletter to enjoy!
