It is a bit quiet on the news front this week but work is definitely picking up here at Tame Towers. There seems to be plenty of movement in the jobs market and some encouraging signs of investment in both online and traditional retail.
Canada Goose's DTC Transformation makes for an interesting quick read.  Not news as such but confirmation about the general direction of travel for multi-channel/customer.

Halifax reports that UK house prices are not falling (well...only a little bit in London).
The US stock market has taken a bit of a plunge because economic forecasts are improving!?

UK ECOMMERCE NEWS - Ted Baker, Mamas & Papas, ...

Ted Baker buyer eyes up Hunter. The owner of Reebok and Ted Baker has joined the race to buy Royal Warrant-holding Wellington boot brand Hunter, according to Sky News.

Mamas and Papas continues its revival with international expansion plans. The retailer is setting its sights on expanding into Australia and Western Europe, before re-entering the US.

New Balance reports 21% growth across all channels last year. Managing Director, Joe Preston, highlighted that the company, currently operates more than 500 stores worldwide and has a presence with over 3,000 retail partners.

Canada Goose doubles down on DTC.  The brand plans to double it's bricks-and-mortar portfolio to further develop its omnichannel approach as well as hiring its first Chief Digital Officer, a role that would be responsible for the company’s consumer-facing digital platforms.
