If you’ve worked with us or been following us for a while, you will hopefully know of our unconventional CEO Patrick Tame. Yes, he is the Tame in Beringer Tame. But what of the other, somewhat elusive half to our name, Beringer? You won’t find a bio for Mr Beringer on our website, or be put through to him on the phone. He seems somewhat mysterious…

We’ve found ourselves asking: Is he the silent partner of our fabulous company, now living the good life in a sun-soaked condo on the Algarve? Or more sinisterly, could he have been the erstwhile CEO before being shadily disposed of by his rival? Perhaps it’s simply a pleasant rhythmic balance of Beringer’s three syllables to Tame’s one... Patrick’s never revealed his true identity, but one theory we’ve come up with in the office is his possible relation to Guy Beringer, the 19th Century creator of brunch…

Beringer said (and frankly we could not agree more): “Brunch is cheerful, sociable and inciting. It is talk-compelling. It puts you in a good temper, it makes you satisfied with yourself and your fellow beings, it sweeps away the worries and cobwebs of the week."

It’s safe to say brunch is core to our values at Beringer Tame; we arrange one in The Barn monthly and take turns to cook. We are foodies! But really we love nothing more than sitting around the table with the work family and having a home cooked meal.
