We are seeking an experienced E-commerce Trading Manager to define and execute a profitable growth strategy for a well-established outdoor toy brand. You'll take ownership of DTC and marketplace sales, leading product listings, promotional strategies, and digital marketing integration. This is a hands-on role focused on driving sales, improving key performance metrics, and collaborating across teams to optimize the online customer journey.
key responsibilities:
- Sales & growth strategy: Take full ownership of developing and implementing long-term strategies to drive sales growth for D2C and marketplace channels. Set annual budgets, KPIs, and performance targets while adapting to changing market trends
- E-commerce optimization: Lead the creation, monitoring, and optimization of product listings, improving site navigation and customer experience. Lead the ecommerce trading calendar, organizing on-site promotions and collaborating across departments to ensure smooth execution
- Digital Marketing integration: Collaborate closely with digital marketing teams, ensuring product and trading strategies are aligned with campaigns across SEO, PPC, retargeting, and social channels for maximum impact
- Performance monitoring & reporting: Regularly analyze performance metrics (sales, ROI, conversion rates) and provide actionable insights to improve online KPIs. You’ll be accountable for preparing weekly, monthly, and annual reports on sales growth, customer journey optimization, and overall business performance
- Competitor & market analysis: Monitor competitor activities and pricing trends to maintain a competitive edge. Use insights from platforms and markets to recommend new product developments and promotions to capitalize on seasonal opportunities
skills and experience:
- Considerable experience of managing D2C and marketplace channels (Amazon, ebay) with proven success in driving growth
- Knowledge of Shoppingfeed preferred
- Experience managing P&Ls exceeding £6m
- Strong analytical skills and experience with SEO, PPC, and online KPIs
- Knowledge of seasonal businesses and marketplace dynamics essential
