Digital Product Manager

Our client is a £1Bn turnover multi-channel business in the homewares sector, currently in the middle of a large-scale digital transformation project to developing best in class customer journeys for their clients. As Digital Product Manager, you will sit at the intersection of Customer, Commercial and Development teams.

responsibilities:

  • Manage associated user experience of the system (or current initiative) from definition to implementation and optimisation
  • Determine the detail of what needs to be delivered, as well as the prioritisation of those elements. Manage backlogs (Agile)
  • Represent Product within the Group Digital team, help write succinct user stories with clear acceptance criteria, ensuring that they meet the objectives of the business owner
  • Identify opportunities to use and develop shared technologies and products
  • Develop business cases for initiatives and be aware of other business cases and projects
  • Define measurement strategies for launch, KPIs and testing activities with input from the Data & Analytics team
  • Implement a process of testing and learning to ensure development and implementation of products that add value to customers and business
  • Excite and motivate the Group Digital team by sharing the value of the business objectives they are working to deliver 

experience:

  • Proven experience in ecommerce digital product development ideally in a transactional multi-channel environment (retail, travel, or financial services)
  • A thorough understanding of customer need assessment frameworks/behaviours
  • Ability to lead workshops to motivate teams involved in bringing new product concepts to life
  • Experience in leading and guiding direct and/or matrixed cross functional Scrum teams
  • Strong expertise in delivering value from Agile methodologies 
  • Experience in analysing and mapping system data flows to physical process flows 
  • Experience in writing clear and succinct user stories with acceptance criteria that have led to successful delivery 
  • Re-platforming experience an advantage

Location: East London/Essex. Hybrid working model
