We are working with an innovative engineering firm, experts in their field who understandably have limited knowledge of Digital Marketing, other than the fact that improving their online content and communication strategy will have a positive impact on their ability to connect with their target audience. Which is why they are looking to appoint their first Digital Content Manager, primarily focused on forumlating and implementing their b2b Content Marketing strategy

key responsibilities:

  • Replatform website, setting up and maintaining the CMS
  • Devise the Content Strategy - research and understand the addressable market
  • Product marketing and content creation – understand the company’s products and selling points and translate this into marketing copy, images and videos
  • Optimise site and content for SEO
  • Investigate, test and learn which channels will be most effective in driving leads and conversion (Linkedin, YouTube plus other paid and organic channels)

Skills and experience

  • Excellent copywriting and editing (photography, video) skills
  • Ability to tailor content, especially tone of voice, according to social media platform
  • An ability to translate ‘engineer speak’ into compelling marketable content (and vice versa)
  • Excellent understanding of the principles and deployment of SEO best practice
  • A track record of building commercial websites
  • A working knowledge of GA
  • Familiarity with Google Ads, FB Ads and PPC campaign management

This is an excellent opportunity to have a fully autonomous role which directly affects the success of a small but growing engineering and technology business.  The key to the role is an ability to communicate marketing concepts to a leadership team of engineers.
