Head of Ecommerce & Digital (Based in Italy)

This is a high-growth role with an Italian premium apparel brand. As the Head of Ecommerce & Digital, living and working in Italy, you will have full P&L responsibility for the global ecommerce business across all brands and product categories. This is a commercial role in so far as you will be establishing commercially significant sales channels for the business but this is ultimately about meeting the needs of the customer - helping them to discover and buy the product that is right for them.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Become the focus point for ecommerce for the senior management team, the wider business and develop a positive and productive culture within your own growing team
  • Strategy & Vision: Understand the unique elements of the business, the global customer base and the wider landscape. Create a vision that delivers on the brand promise and commercial needs of the business.
  • Ecommerce Sales: This is your primary deliverable. You will grow global ecommerce d2c sales through the owned platform as well as via online marketplaces such as Amazon
  • Management & Delivery: Create a roadmap that has clearly defined and achievable objectives. Match your resources to your objectives. Measure and report performance

Key skills:

  • Experience of scaling an ecommerce product retail business
  • Be a team player with strong communication and influencing skills
  • Experience of building D2C channels for a brand owner (alongside wholesale channels)
  • Experience of building online sales from a low base
  • Cross border/cross currency ecommerce sales experience. Ideally, Europe, Asia and USA
  • Amazon Marketplace or similar experience
  • Strong analytical and data focus
  • Excellent team-building and development skills
  • Knowledge of Italian desirable but not essential

This role will be based in Northern Italy. Salary is 110-160,000 EUROS.
